From
the beginning verses of Genesis to the last verses of Revelation
it is clear that God has a specific purpose in mind for the nation
of
God
has made
“When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name—when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the LORD, and yet they have gone out of His land.’” Ezekiel 36:20
“Hear
the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare it in the isles
afar off, and say,
‘He who scattered
That we might know through Israel’s disobedience and punishment that He is the only sovereign God and the only righteous judge of all. “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: …And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the LORD will drive you… Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. when you see
That the nations would know that He would not spare His own people for their disobedience. “Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you. For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God…And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you. When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the LORD your God and obey His voice (for the LORD your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them…You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD your God is giving you for all time.” Deuteronomy 4:23-24, 27-31, 40 “All nations would say, ‘Why has the LORD done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’ Then people would say: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt; for they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that He had not given to them. Then the anger of the LORD was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. And the LORD uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’” Deuteronomy 29:24-28 “For
if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what
will their acceptance be but life from the dead...Because of
unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not

“For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.
